Jigsaw Puzzle

We found some jigsaws that had been packed away. Elsie volunteered to complete one to see if all the pieces were there. She had to read and match the sentences on the border as well as complete the inside. Elsie showed great perseverance! She found out that there was only one small character missing.

Sharing My Writing

Today we had our Student Led Conference. Elsie shared her writing. She demonstrated how to use the editing cards and her spelling book. Well done Elsie.

Harold's New Friend

Here is Elsie patting Harold. Harold has been visiting Frankley School this week and Te Kakano has been learning about about friendships. Elsie was filling Harold's friendship bucket by giving him a lovely pat. You are a good friend Elsie.

Working at the Creative Table

Elsie enjoys creating . She has many ideas about what she could make. She is learning that mistakes are part of learning and how to problem solve. 

I started to make a tent, but the tent was too hard to make. It was hard to thread the sticks onto  the paper. I made an E and an L from my name. I am going to try and use something else to make a tent.
